Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Alex Moreno from Aston Villa.

The 31-year-old has agreed a season-long loan, with Forest holding an option to make the move permanent.

Moreno played 29 times across all competitions for Villa last season, helping them qualify for the Champions League, but has since fallen down the pecking order.

Ian Maatsen joined Villa for £37.5m from Chelsea earlier this summer, while Lucas Digne is also ahead of him.
