Ice-cold Heidenheim celebrated a start to measure: FC St. Pauli won the FCH with 2:0. For the neighbourhood kickers, who played a decent game, it was a bitter prelude after 13 years of Bundesliga abstinence.

A guided tour for the hosts would have been deserved - but it came differently: after a corner of St. Paulis first gave a top chance to vote, the following counter flew around the master's master's ears. Heidenheim played it sparkn clean, Pieringer took over Wanner on the right, who scored in the left lower corner and scored his first Bundesliga goal (66th).
