Chelsea will look to continue their fine start to the Enzo Maresca era when they host Nottingham Forest in the Premier League today.
The Blues will be looking to make it six wins in a row in all competitions when they take on Nuno Espirito Santo's side at Stamford Bridge during the October international break.
Under Maresca, the Blues have won four of their opening six league games, losing just one - to champions Manchester City on the opening weekend - while also progressing in the Carabao Cup and EFL.
The former Leicester boss admits his side are well ahead of plan in terms of progress and another win in west London this afternoon would consolidate their grip on fourth place, which would leave them just one point behind title rivals Arsenal and Manchester City and two behind leaders Liverpool.
Chelsea, in form, will be favourites to take on Nottingham Forest once again. Forest had an encouraging start to the season, including a shocking win at Anfield, but then drew 2-2 with Brighton before a disappointing home defeat to Fulham. This instability could also lead to their loss against Chelsea.
Forest have Chelsea academy product Hudson-Odoi in their squad. He was once touted by Blues fans as the future of Chelsea, winning the Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and other honours with the Blues. However, injuries and tactical factors prevented Odoi from staying at his parent club for long. After a short loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen, Odoi finally arrived at Nottingham Forest last summer for a mere €3.5 million. Odoi's most recent highlight came in Forest's win over Liverpool, when he scored a world-class goal to help Forest overcome their opponents. Forest also have a Chelsea academy product in defender Aina.
