Switzerland vs Denmark
Match preview
Switzerland impressed at Euro 2024, reaching the quarter-finals but missing out on a place in the last four for the first time in their history after losing to England on penalties.
Murat Yakin's side have struggled for results and performances since the summer tournament, losing all three of their matches against Denmark, Spain and Serbia, conceding eight times in the process.
Switzerland's 2-0 defeat to Serbia on Saturday left them bottom of Group 4 in League A, four points behind third-placed Serbia and seven behind leaders Spain.
The A team also competed in League A of the 2022-23 competition and finished third in their section, but they face the possibility of being relegated to League B for the next Nations League.
Switzerland will be looking to avoid a fifth successive defeat on Tuesday before closing out the group stage with matches against Serbia and Spain in November.
Denmark came close to claiming a point against Spain on Saturday night, but Martin Zubimendi's 79th-minute volley secured victory for Luis de la Fuente's side.
The Red and Whites opened their 2024-25 Nations League campaign with back-to-back wins over Switzerland and Serbia, and despite the disappointment of the defeat to Spain, they sit second in Group 4 on six points, one off the pace.
Morten Wieghorst is in charge on a caretaker basis, with Kasper Hjulmand stepping down as head coach after Euro 2024, where Denmark were knocked out in the round of 16.
The Danes played in Group A in the last Nations League and finished second in their section behind Croatia, picking up 12 points from their six matches in a strong campaign.
Denmark are unbeaten in their last seven matches against Switzerland, dating back to October 1984, and won 2-0 in the reverse fixture last month.
