Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior scored a hat trick as the La Liga champions ended a two-match losing streak in all competitions with a 4-0 win over Osasuna on Saturday.
The Brazil international opened the scoring in the 34th minute when he received a pass from Jude Bellingham, beat the offside trap and fired an unstoppable shot past goalkeeper Sergio Herrera.
Bellingham got his scoring instincts back eight minutes later with a superb shot that lobbed over the goalkeeper to extend Real Madrid's lead.
Vinicius scored in the 61st and 69th minutes to seal the win for the hosts, helping second-placed Real Madrid climb to 27 points, six behind leaders Barcelona. Osasuna is fifth with 21 points.
Real Madrid's game was overshadowed by injuries to Eder Militao and Rodrygo, both of whom came off in the first half. Lucas Vázquez was also substituted at halftime, apparently exacerbating Real Madrid's injury problems.
Next up is the international break, with Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé not playing for France. The next La Liga game is at the end of November, with Real Madrid away to Leganes and then to Anfield to take on Liverpool, who are top of the Champions League.
And Osasuna suffered a big defeat after three consecutive wins in all competitions. They will return to La Liga to face Villarreal after the international match day, which will also be a fierce game.
