APPIANO GENTILE - On Sunday 1 December, Inter will face Fiorentina away from home at 18:00 CET on matchday 14 of Serie A. On the eve of the game, Simone Inzaghi spoke to Inter TV:
Fiorentina are in great form having won their last seven league games: what will be key to the game?
“It will be a very tough match and a lot will depend on our approach, we know that they come off the back of seven consecutive wins and so, without a doubt, we’re up against a tough side”.
In the last two months, Inter have picked up 10 wins and 2 draws and no defeats: what is the secret?
“Since July 13, we’ve been working well, and we are happy with the results in the last two months, we have played some great games but we know that tomorrow will be a tough match”.
There has been a lot of rotation and some injuries, but everyone contributes to Inter’s successes: how much has this group grown and how much can it still improve?
“Squad rotation is not limiting but rather allows us to manage well all our players. For tomorrow, we have some players out but we will head there to play a good game”.
You’ve picked up seven clean sheets from the last nine games: how much has the defence improved since the start of the year?
“We’re working both at the front and the back, all of Inter are working well as a side. For us, the aim is always to keep improving together”.
It’s a difficult fixture after a game in Europe, just like for Fiorentina: what could be the hidden pitfalls in a game like that?
“We know that both we and Fiorentina have been playing in Europe. They have a good coach and skilled players, Inter will have to put in a big performance”.
A run of many games in many different competitions has begun: how will you maintain focus?
“By thinking game to game, we will need to concentrate on each fixture, trying to prepare for every last one”.
