Aston Villa ended their run of eight matches without a win on Wednesday with a 3-1 win over Brentford. This takes them back into the top half of the Premier League table.

Unai Emery will be hoping to make it two wins in a row on Saturday afternoon ahead of a big Champions League clash in Germany against Leipzig next week. They go into the weekend eighth in the table, level on points with sixth and just one point shy of the top five.

Southampton, on the other hand, are at the bottom of the Premier League table with just five points from their 15 matches so far this season, having only won once.

Russell Martin's side couldn't build on a positive result in a 1-1 draw away at Brighton last weekend. The Saints fell to a 5-1 home defeat by Chelsea on Wednesday night, which means they're now seven points from safety and four points away from 19th-placed Wolves.

Even though they've had a rough run recently, Aston Villa have gone six league games without a loss at Villa Park. The south coast side, on the other hand, have lost six of their seven away matches this season, with just a single point to show for it.
