Niccolò Pisilli had been hoping to celebrate a Roma goal with the ultras in the Curva Sud, and he did it last night as he celebrated his second Serie A goal
Pisilli is still only 20, but he's already becoming a key player for the first team.In the Serie A match that just wrapped up, he came on as a substitute and scored a goal and made an assist, helping Roma to a long-awaited victory.
He came off the bench during tonight's 4-1 win against Lecce at the Stadio Olimpico and scored his second Serie A goal of the season.
It was a significant comeback for Pisilli, who was suspended for the 2-0 loss to Atalanta.
“I followed the move from behind, Paulo gave a great pass to Saud, who laid it off well for me, so it was a great team move,” Pisilli told Sky Sport Italia.
He was given his senior debut by Jose Mourinho, then did a great job under Daniele De Rossi and Ivan Juric. Now Claudio Ranieri is impressed by his contributions.
“I try to give 100 per cent every time and that’s the main thing. Some people like me more than others, but the most important thing is to give my all.”
“I had been dreaming of that run to the Curva Sud for a long time and I will always remember it. That was wonderful.”
