Plymouth vs Swansea
Match preview
After just managing to stay up in the Championship last season, Plymouth are once again fighting for their survival this year. They finished 21st in the table with 51 points, just a point above the drop zone.
Wayne Rooney was brought in as the new permanent boss ahead of the new season, and the manager has had a tough start to life at Plymouth, with the team only winning five times in 20 games across all competitions.
Rooney had a tough start, with a 4-0 loss against Sheffield Wednesday in his first match. But the team improved, with four wins and two draws in the next 10.
However, they've only managed one win, three draws and five losses in their last nine games. They lost twice in a row against Norwich City and Bristol City, with an aggregate score of 10-1.
With the pressure on Rooney's role at the club, given their current position in the league and recent form, the manager will be keen to guide his side to a win here, which could see them climb out of the drop zone.
Swansea have had a bit of a mixed start to the season. They're currently 13th in the table with 24 points from 19 games, having won six, drawn six and lost seven.
Even though they've had some up and down results, Swansea and Luke Williams, who've been in charge since January 2024, will be happy that they're just seven points behind the playoff places.
They're also coming into this one on their joint-longest unbeaten run in the Championship so far this term. They recorded a 2-1 win against Derby County, followed by draws with Portsmouth and Luton Town.
Williams is hoping to make it three wins in a row against Plymouth on Tuesday. They've already beaten them twice at Home Park this season, so it would be a great result if they could do it again.

Team News
Plymouth will be without Brendan Galloway, Conor Hazard, Ibrahim Cissoko, Joe Edwards, Kornel Szucs, Morgan Whittaker and Muhamed Tijani for this match due to injuries.
After losing two games in a row, with scores of 6-1 and 4-0, Rooney might make some changes to the team as he hopes for a better performance here.
Swansea will be without Andrew Fisher, Josh Ginnelly, Oliver Cooper and Sam Parker for this match due to ongoing injury issues.
The visitors have been on a winning streak in their last three matches, with one win and two draws, so Williams might decide to stick with the same side here.
