Pep: We don't have a player to defend a result in our box

Pep Guardiola blamed Man City's inability to keep the ball for throwing away a two-goal lead in the last 10 minutes of their 2-2 draw at Brentford.
Guardiola was unimpressed with substitute James McAtee's decision to shoot rather than keep possession in the final third moments before Christian Norgaard snatched a last-gasp equaliser for the hosts on Tuesday evening.
The Man City boss admitted after the game he feels the only way his side can see out victory is by keeping the ball, and said the club does not have a player who can help them defend their own box in such situations - perhaps a nod to the ongoing pursuit of centre-backs Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis in the January transfer window.
"We didn’t manage it well after 2-0 or 2-1," he said. "We managed it well at 1-0.
"What I missed today was that we didn’t take the right decisions in the final third, when the actions were that we could run. We were winning long balls and could run with them, but we didn’t make the right decisions.
"I like the way Brentford play, today we created a lot and we’ve come here many times and they’ve had more chances than us.
"At 2-0 we had to close it out, but we don’t have a specific player to defend a result in the box – we have to do it with the ball, create and control in the final third.
"It’s normal to have fatigue in the last 10 or 15 minutes here."
