Preview: Wolves vs Leicester City

No Premier League team has enjoyed a more impressive recent run than Wolves, who have won their last five matches straight, effectively securing their top-flight status and alleviating any relegation concerns.

Following victories over Southampton, West Ham United, Ipswich Town, and Tottenham Hotspur, Wolves delivered a stunning win at Old Trafford against Manchester United, thanks to a brilliant free kick from Pablo Sarabia, deepening United's troubles over the Easter weekend.

Now safely clear of relegation and positioned above Tottenham Hotspur while trailing Manchester United only on goal difference, Wolves can focus on finishing strong, with potential squad changes on the horizon for the summer.

Transfer rumors are swirling, including a possible move for Matheus Cunha to Manchester United, and interest in Joao Gomes and Rayan Ait-Nouri, but these players aim to make history with Wolves first.

A win on Saturday would mark Wolves' first six consecutive Premier League victories ever, a feat last achieved in the top flight over 50 years ago in 1970.

Meanwhile, Leicester City faces relegation to the Championship after their defeat to Liverpool confirmed their drop, as the soon-to-be champions proved too strong.

Under Ruud van Nistelrooy, Leicester put up a fight but fell to a deflected Trent Alexander-Arnold volley in a 1-0 loss, sealing a fate that had been anticipated for weeks.

Leicester's captain Jamie Vardy voiced his frustration in a blunt social media post, reflecting the disappointment of fans after a tough season.

With a 10-game winless streak in the Premier League, Leicester's main goal now is to finish above Ipswich Town in the relegation table, though their only wins this year have come away from home.

The Foxes secured a win at Tottenham Hotspur and a draw with Brighton & Hove Albion on the road, but they lost 3-0 to Wolves in December, setting up a chance for Wolves to complete their first league double over Leicester since 1958.

Wolves' third-choice goalkeeper Daniel Bentley stepped in at Old Trafford due to injuries to Jose Sa (back) and Sam Johnstone (unspecified), with Sa withdrawing just before kickoff after a warm-up issue.

However, Sa is expected to return for this match, along with Hwang Hee-chan (unspecified), Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (calf), and Pedro Lima (ankle), while Sasa Kalajdzic, Enso Gonzalez, Yerson Mosquera, and Leon Chiwone continue recovering from long-term knee injuries.

Despite Sarabia's heroics, he may feature as a substitute behind Matheus Cunha and Mario Lemina, with Cunha needing four more goals to surpass Raul Jimenez's record for the most by a Wolves player in a Premier League season.

For Leicester, the injury list is light, with only Abdul Fatawu (knee) and Stephy Mavididi (muscle) out, though Harry Winks remains unavailable due to a dispute with Van Nistelrooy.

With relegation confirmed, Van Nistelrooy may rotate the squad to give chances to younger players, but he won't give up entirely on the remaining games.

One potential inclusion is 15-year-old prodigy Jeremy Monga, already the second-youngest player in Premier League history, who could become the youngest starter if selected.

Wolverhampton Wanderers possible starting lineup:

Sa; Agbadou, Toti, Bueno; Semedo, Andre, Gomes, Ait-Nouri; Lemina, Cunha; Larsen

Leicester City possible starting lineup:

Hermansen; Pereira, Coady, Faes, Thomas; Ndidi, Soumare; McAteer, El Khannouss, Ayew; Daka
