Despite ongoing rumors about head coach Antonio Conte's future, stemming from his fallout with club president Aurelio de Laurentiis, Napoli remains in a fierce battle with Inter for the Serie A title.

One of Conte's key players has been instrumental lately, helping the southern club recover from a slump that once jeopardized their chances of a fourth Scudetto.

After scoring a brace against Empoli, Scott McTominay netted the decisive goal in last week's victory over bottom-dwelling Monza, with six of his nine league goals coming when the score was still 0-0.

One such goal decided their December matchup, and McTominay will aim to add more against Torino this weekend, with only five games left.

As Inter stumbled with a late loss to Bologna, the two teams are now tied, and if they end level after 38 matches, a playoff for the top spot would follow.

Under mounting pressure to remain flawless, Napoli seeks to achieve three consecutive Serie A wins for the first time since January.

With an unbeaten streak in 12 home games against Torino, history favors Napoli, though title races often bring surprises.

Torino has lost six of their last eight league games against Napoli, regardless of venue, and failed to score in five of those.

However, Torino has lost only once in their last eight Serie A matches, boosting their hopes for a top-half finish.

Che Adams, McTominay's Scotland teammate, scored the first goal in Torino's 2-0 win over Udinese on Wednesday, extending their unbeaten home run.

Consequently, Paolo Vanoli's Torino sits 10th in the standings, eight points behind ninth-placed AC Milan, safely out of relegation and European contention.

In their last 10 away games, Torino has lost just twice and drawn six, so they might see an opportunity to upset Napoli on Sunday.

With Juan Jesus out, former Torino defender Alessandro Buongiorno is questionable due to an adductor injury, but could feature in Napoli's defense.

Rafa Marin, who started against Monza, may continue alongside Amir Rrahmani in Napoli's central defense.

With David Neres unavailable, either Leonardo Spinazzola or Giacomo Raspadori is likely to play on the left wing, supporting leading scorer Romelu Lukaku, who has contributed to six goals in his last three home games.

In Duvan Zapata's absence, Che Adams leads Torino's attack and has matched Denis Law's nine goals for the club this season.

Former Napoli player Eljif Elmas, with 14 goals in 143 appearances for the team, is expected to start, while Saul Coco returns from suspension. However, Gvidas Gineitis is suspended.

Ivan Ilic and Borna Sosa are dealing with injuries from the Udinese game, joining Nikola Vlasic and Valentino Lazaro as doubts for the trip.

Napoli possible starting lineup:

Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Marin, Olivera; Anguissa, Lobotka; Politano, McTominay, Spinazzola; Lukaku

Torino possible starting lineup:

Milinkovic-Savic; Walukiewicz, Maripan, Coco, Biraghi; Ricci, Linetty; Karamoh, Casadei, Elmas; Adams
