Aston Villa returned to winning form in the Premier League on Saturday, extending their unbeaten streak at Villa Park to 20 games with a narrow 1-0 victory over Fulham.
Youri Tielemans scored the decisive goal in the 12th minute, heading in a corner from John McGinn in front of the North Stand.
Villa missed several chances to increase their lead, with Bernd Leno making key saves from Tielemans and Ollie Watkins, while Donyell Malen hit the crossbar.
Fulham struggled to create opportunities, as Aston Villa delivered a robust defensive performance to secure the win.
The three points in B6 bring Aston Villa level on points with fifth-placed Chelsea, with three games remaining in the season.
Captain John McGinn marked his 200th Premier League appearance for the club, becoming the tenth player to achieve this for Villa, while manager Unai Emery made one change, starting Ian Maatsen.
McGinn celebrated with an assist, delivering an inswinging corner that Tielemans headed past a diving Bernd Leno.
