Bournemouth mounted a comeback to defeat Arsenal 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday, with Evanilson's decisive goal providing a major lift in their pursuit of European football next season.
Declan Rice put Arsenal ahead in the 34th minute, elegantly rounding goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and scoring on his 100th appearance for the Gunners.
Although Arsenal had opportunities to extend their advantage, including Bukayo Saka's shot that went just wide, Dean Huijsen leveled the score for Bournemouth in the 67th minute, and Evanilson followed up with a goal eight minutes later to complete the turnaround.
Bournemouth now sit in eighth place with 53 points from 35 games, a position that could qualify them for European competition next season. Arsenal remain in second with 67 points, three points ahead of Manchester City in third.
