Faced with their club's catastrophic situation, bottom of La Liga and on a run of 14 wins, the fans threw 60,000 Ronaldo-themed banknotes onto the pitch at the Estadio José Zorrilla this Saturday in the 12th minute, during the 34th matchday home game against Barça.

The choice of this figure, 60,000 500 euro notes, is linked to the 30 million euros used by Ronaldo Nazário to buy the club from Carlos Suárez in 2018.

Relegation already decided, sale to come?

Having been searching for a victory since January 11, Valladolid are already certain of playing in the second division next year, with just four wins in 33 matches and 16 points collected.

Majority shareholder since 2018, Ronaldo has reportedly reached an agreement to sell the club, but is subject to a confidentiality clause until early May. The acquisition could be for around €40 million, according to Cadena Ser.
