Romano said that Jorginho's plan to join Flamengo was confirmed in January this year, and his deal to go to Flamengo in June is about to be finalized.
According to Brazilian media reports, Flamengo offered Jorginho a three-year contract that will last until 2028, and Jorginho has verbally agreed to the offer.
It is worth mentioning that Flamengo is in the same group as Chelsea in this summer's Club World Cup, which means that Jorginho will soon face his old club - he joined Arsenal from Chelsea in January 2023.
