Aiming to continue their climb towards the top half of the La Liga table, Valencia will welcome Getafe to the Estadio de Mestalla on Saturday.
The hosts have climbed to 12th spot and three points above their visitors thanks to a nine-match unbeaten streak in Spain's top flight and trail 10th place by just two points.
Match preview
Valencia head into the weekend aiming to take an unbeaten streak to 10 games and crack the top half of the La Liga table, having continued a fine start to life under Carlos Corberan in recent months.
He took the reins as manager around the turn of the year, when Los Ches sat in a concerning position at the bottom end of the Spanish top flight on just 12 points from 17 outings, and has overseen the collection of 30 points from another 17 league games in 2025.
Of their 17 La Liga matches under the new boss thus far, the hosts have managed eight victories and only suffered three defeats, now heading into Saturday's contest having not lost in nine outings since late February, most recently visiting strugglers Las Palmas on the back of consecutive draws with Rayo Vallecano an Espanyol.
Los Ches would make a return to winning ways in Gran Canaria, having led 1-0 and 2-1 through a Hugo Duro brace and extended that lead thanks to an Alex Suarez own goal, before standing strong for a 3-2 victory after Oli McBurnie halved the hosts' deficit seven minutes from time.
Now sitting 12th with four games remaining, having moved from a relegation battle to a top-half pursuit and potential chance for European qualification as they also trail eighth place by two points, Valencia will aim to make it back-to-back wins on Saturday to continue their climb in the run-in.
Their visitors, meanwhile, make the trip to the Estadio de Mestalla aiming to end a four-match losing run and their slide down the La Liga table and move back above the hosts.
A 12-match span between the beginning of the new year and early April saw Getafe move into 11th spot as they picked up seven wins and 23 points, culminating in a 4-0 away triumph over Real Valladolid, but they have since fallen away from the top half following four consecutive defeats.
That latest three-point haul was firstly followed by losses at the hands of Las Palmas and Espanyol, before Jose Bordalas's side hosted Real Madrid and fell just short as Arda Guler netted the only goal in the first half.
A trip to Rayo Vallecano then followed last Friday, and the Azulones were unable to arrest their slump, instead succumbing to another 1-0 defeat as Florian Lejeune's seventh-minute goal made the difference.
Now sitting 13th with four games remaining, Getafe will be keen to halt their losing run on Saturday and move back above their hosts and within touching distance of the top half.
Valencia possible starting lineup:
Mamardashvili; Foulquier, Tarrega, Mosquera, Gaya; Rioja, Guerra, Pepelu, Lopez; Mir, Duro
Getafe possible starting lineup:
