The 2024/25 Premier League season has concluded all 37 rounds of matches, but the race for Champions League qualification is still full of tension.

With only one round of the league remaining, only Liverpool and Arsenal have confirmed that they will be able to participate in the Champions League next season. The remaining three places will be decided between five teams.

The Magpies have the highest goal difference with 66 points and hold the initiative. After winning, Newcastle can secure a place in the Champions League with a goal difference advantage (+22). If they draw or lose, they need to look at the results of Chelsea vs Forest and Villa.

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest: (Focus Match)

A direct confrontation between the 5th and 7th divisions. If Chelsea win, they can also secure a place in the Champions League with their goal difference (+20). If they draw, they need to look at Villa's results. If they lose, there is a high probability that they will miss out on next season's Champions League. Forest, who are in 7th place, must win, they have no other way, and even to win, they need Villa or Newcastle not to win.

Villa vs Manchester United:

Since Villa's goal difference is only 9, Villa must beat Manchester United by a double-digit margin to have a chance of surpassing the team in front of them if the points are equal, which is clearly impossible. Therefore, while Villa need to secure a win, they also need to look at the results of Newcastle and Chelsea.
