Eduardo Cudés' side can also be proud of having kept four clean sheets in their last five games, having not conceded more than one goal in any of their previous eight games since a 2-0 loss to Rayo Vallecano in late March.

Osasuna repeated that feat on Sunday against relegation-threatened Espanyol, with Ante Budimir and Raul Garcia scoring once each to make it four straight home wins and move level on points with eighth-placed Rayo Vallecano, who hold the head-to-head advantage. The ninth-placed side are just a point off seventh-placed Celta Vigo, meaning they could qualify for the Europa League, the English Football Association Championship or miss out on European football altogether.
