The Oakland Athletics extended their losing streak to 11 games after a 9-6 defeat to the Philadelphia Phillies in 11 innings on Saturday. The home loss was particularly disappointing, especially since the Athletics held a lead entering the 9th inning, and now they must contend with an injury to Nick Kurtz.

Earlier that day, the Athletics promoted 2019 first-round pick Logan Davidson to add a new face to a team already on a 10-game skid.

Davidson made his debut on Saturday. In the bottom of the 10th, he pinch-ran for Kurtz after he exited the game but was thrown out at home while tagging up, appearing notably slow in the process.

Things deteriorated further for Davidson. In the top of the 11th, Kyle Schwarber hit a go-ahead two-run double and collided with Davidson, who was in the basepaths and was called for runner interference.

Additionally, Davidson struck out swinging in his first MLB at-bat, which sealed the final out of the game.

While Davidson was excited about his MLB debut, this is likely one he'll want to forget.
