The New York Knicks remain in contention after Game 5.

New York defeated the Indiana Pacers 111-94 at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night, driven by Jalen Brunson's impressive 32 points, five rebounds, and five assists.

Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 24 points and 13 rebounds, despite dealing with foul trouble.

The Knicks' defense showed strong resolve, limiting the Pacers by holding Tyrese Haliburton to just eight points on 2-of-7 shooting. Pascal Siakam also underperformed compared to his recent games, scoring 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting, including 1-of-3 from three-point range and 4-of-8 from the free-throw line, along with six rebounds and five assists, making him less influential than before.

Siakam appeared frustrated after the game, especially regarding his team's effort in Game 5, which was clear during a tense exchange with a reporter at the postgame press conference.

As the reporter pressed for a specific response with direct questions, Siakam responded firmly and addressed the media member.

"It's okay," Siakam said.

"We played hard, they played harder. What's your point? I don't get it. You good, bro? You're looking for something, I know, but damn."

As a former NBA champion with the Toronto Raptors, Siakam has a chance to rebound in Game 6 and prove his detractors wrong.

Meanwhile, the Knicks face a tough challenge to win on the road and force a historic Game 7 back at MSG.
