Even Barry Bonds never experienced such treatment.

On the West Coast late Wednesday night, New York Yankees star Aaron Judge stepped up to the plate in the first two innings but didn't see a single pitch.

The Los Angeles Angels chose to intentionally walk him twice, signaling four fingers each time as Judge trotted to first base.

In the first inning, with first base open and one out, the Angels walked Judge, extending the inning where the Yankees scored their only run on an Anthony Volpe sacrifice fly that brought Paul Goldschmidt home.

In the second inning, Trent Grisham doubled with two outs, setting up runners on second and third.

When Angels manager Ron Washington signaled the intentional walk, Judge grinned in response, and Washington chuckled.

"He's a threat," Washington told reporters. "I don't know what might have happened if I hadn't walked him those first two times. You don't take chances with a player like that, no matter how he's swinging the bat."

Judge recorded two outs in his subsequent at-bats after the walks.

The 6-foot-7 superstar finished the game with a .391 batting average, .488 on-base percentage, .739 slugging percentage, and a 1.227 OPS.
