Mauritius has announced a 23-man squad, consisting of three goalkeepers, seven defenders, nine midfielders, and four forwards. Gabriel Caliste from West Ham United Academy has earned his third senior call-up, recognized as one of the team's most promising talents.
Lindsay Rose and Wilson Mootoo are set to anchor the central defense, while Kevin Jean-Louis may be selected to start in goal.
Zimbabwe's interim coach Marange revealed his squad on Wednesday, combining young talents with experienced players from both domestic and international clubs.
Former Wales Under-19 international Menzi Mazwi, now at Birmingham City, leads the overseas players and will be accompanied by UK-based talents Tanaka Cherera of Bury FC, Kennedy Mupomba from Chelmsford FC, and Kurainashe Musanhi of Crystal Palace. All of them participated in last year's COSAFA Under-20 Championship.
Veteran goalkeeper Martin Mapisa represents the home-based players, while Highlanders centre-back Andrew Mbeba has been appointed captain, drawing from his extensive international experience in Zimbabwe's World Cup qualifying matches.
Mauritius possible starting lineup:
Jean-Louis; Francois, Rose, Mootoo, Collard; Colin, Langue, Caliste; Brasse, Ferre, Aristide
Zimbabwe possible starting lineup:
Mapisa; Chapinduka, Mbeba, Kaseke, Mashonganyika; Mazwi, Muzenda, Chigara; Munemo, Cherera, Meke
