England maintained their 100 per cent record in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers with a 1-0 win against Andorra, marking their seventh consecutive victory without conceding.

England showed their intent early on, with Jude Bellingham shooting straight at Iker Álvarez. Andorra’s goalkeeper then palmed away Noni Madueke’s shot, before Harry Kane failed to put the visitors ahead when he shot wide from close range.

The hosts' sole first-half attempt soon followed, with Biel Borra blazing over following a free kick.

Bellingham tested Álvarez a couple more times with a half-volley and a header, but the Three Lions could not find the breakthrough before half-time.

Nevertheless, it took just five minutes of the second half for England to finally score, with Kane converting Madueke’s cross at full stretch after Álvarez initially denied him with a smart save.

The pair combined again after the hour mark, with Kane feeding Madueke with a long-range pass this time, but the Chelsea player's shot was easily gathered by Álvarez.

Thomas Tuchel made some changes in an attempt to freshen things up. Substitute Eberechi Eze almost doubled the lead when his header was tipped over by Álvarez.

Madueke failed to add to the scoreline deep into stoppage time. Although the final score was underwhelming, England were still victorious, stretching their impressive unbeaten run in World Cup qualifying matches to 34.

England dominated possession with 83 per cent, but frustratingly could not break down Andorra's well-organised defence, with the team mainly restricted to long-range shots.

Tuchel's men were jeered off the pitch at half-time and again at the end, leaving the England manager "not happy" with the disappointing display.

"I was most worried in the last 20 minutes because I did not like the attitude that we ended the game with," said the German.

"I didn't like the lack of urgency and it did not match the occasion - it is still a World Cup qualifier. We will let them know [on Sunday] what we want from them."

England next face Senegal in a friendly at Nottingham Forest's City Ground on Tuesday and Tuchel expects a better performance.
