The 36-year-old Durant has one year left on his contract, with a salary of $54.7 million next season. Durant will turn 37 in September. This season, he averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game for the Suns, with shooting splits of 52.7% from the field, 43.0% from three, and 83.9% from the free-throw line.
In earlier reports, Durant had privately told those close to him that he would eventually join the Spurs.
