Barça's push for Nico Williams, which has resulted in a verbal agreement for the next six seasons, hasn't discouraged Marcus Rashford. The Manchester United player wants to play for Barça and is confident in a move from the Barça sporting directors.
The English winger is one of the candidates to strengthen the wingers alongside the Athletic Club player and Luis Díaz.
His role on the pitch isn't limited to the left wing. He can play in all three attacking positions and is considered a good replacement for Lewandowski at center forward, even though the squad already has Ferran Torres.
The English player is considering various options to join Barça. With a contract until 2028, United are willing to open the door for him, although they demand a transfer fee of around €30 million, a price Barça is unwilling to take on. A loan option would be well considered, especially with the player making some financial sacrifice. Rashford was already on Barça's radar in the last winter transfer window, but Barça's financial constraints prevented any such move.
The player is currently in Marbella for the holidays after finishing his spell at Aston Villa, where he spent the second half of last season on loan. Unai Emery, his manager, and Monchi, the sporting director, are keen to continue using his services.
For now, they're holding on, while Rashford is looking to play at the Spotify Camp Nou. He played 41 matches, scoring 11 goals and providing 9 assists.
