Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has signed a new three-year contract.

The 51-year-old guided Forest to a seventh-placed finish in the Premier League last season, securing European qualification for the first time since the 1995/96 season.

For much of the campaign, it appeared that Forest were on track to qualify for the Champions League, but they lost four of their last eight games.

Despite this, owner Evangelos Marinakis has rewarded Nuno for the club’s highest league finish in 30 years, along with reaching the FA Cup semi-finals, where they were defeated by Manchester City.

Nuno said: “I am thrilled to extend our journey at this incredible football club.”

“From the moment we joined Forest, we have worked tirelessly to build a strong connection among the players, fans, and everyone involved, which enabled us to accomplish remarkable feats last season.”

“I want to thank our owner, Mr. Marinakis, for his unwavering support. Building a solid relationship with the ownership is vital, and we have enjoyed collaborating since my arrival at Forest.”

“Now, we must push harder than ever to create even more memorable moments together.”
