The FA has announced that video assistant referees (VAR) will be utilised across all of the remaining fixtures in this season’s Emirates FA Cup.
Match referees will also continue to provide spectators and viewers with improved clarity and understanding of the final decision in relation to any reviewed incidents by delivering in-stadium VAR announcements.
Semi-automated offside technology (SAOT) will be in place for the three quarter-finals taking place at Premier League stadiums, as well as the semi-finals and final at Wembley Stadium connected by EE.
The FA Cup quarter-finals will be held at the end of this month. The four groups of opponents are Bournemouth vs Manchester City, Fulham vs Crystal Palace, Preston vs Aston Villa, and Brighton vs Nottingham Forest.
