RB Leipzig and El Chadaille Bitshiabu have prematurely extended their contract by one year until June 30, 2029.
The 20-year-old central defender joined the Red Bulls from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023 and has since become a fixture in the RBL defense. Last season, the left-footer made 28 competitive appearances, starting 19 times.
El Chadaille Bitshiabu:
"I am delighted to have extended my contract with this fantastic club. At RB Leipzig, I find a perfect environment to develop both as a player and personally. When I joined in 2023, I immediately felt how much the club believed in me. Even during the most difficult phases, the club management placed their full trust in me, allowing me to establish myself permanently in the starting lineup. As a player, there is no better place to continue this adventure. I feel very comfortable here and I'm far from finished."
After being forced to sit out his first few months at RB Leipzig due to a medial ligament injury, the 1.96 m tall giant made his competitive debut on February 4, 2024, in the 2-0 win against Union Berlin.
