West Ham United winger Maxwel Cornet landed on Italian soil today ahead of a medical in Genoa on Monday.
The 28-year-old Ivory Coast international landed at Genoa's Cristoforo Colombo airport on Sunday evening and was greeted by fans and media at the airport.
According to Sky Sport Italia, this will be a six-month loan move until the end of the season.
Capable of playing on the left or right wing, but also as a centre-forward, he is Genoa's second signing of the January transfer window, following the arrival of Otoa from Aalborg.
A product of the FC Metz academy, Cornet moved to Olympique Lyonnais and was sold to Burnley for €15 million in 2021.
A year later, his value had risen to €20.7m for West Ham, but he has made just four competitive appearances so far this season.
