Sauce Gardner isn't lacking for self-confidence.

That's clear on NFL fields each and every week, but even now in the offseason, the Jets cornerback is making that clear.

A post on X earlier Thursday asked the question, "Is Ahmad 'Sauce' Gardner an elite NFL cornerback?"

Gardner, who was not directly tagged in the post but found it anyway, quote tweeted a three-word response:

"Is water wet?"

Yes, water is wet, and yes, Gardner is an elite NFL cornerback.

Gardner has twice been voted first-team All-Pro through three seasons in the pros. He has three career interceptions but spends long stretches of games being avoided altogether by opposing QBs.

Heading into the 2024 season, Gardner was ranked as Pro Football Focus' No. 1 cornerback in football. His analytics weren't quite as strong for the 2024 season, but a dumpster-fire year for the Jets overall surely didn't help that.

And regardless of what happened on the field in the past, Gardner definitely doesn't have any issues with being confident going forward.
