Luton Town have found a strong run of form at a crucial stage, winning five of their last 10 games in the Championship.
These victories signal improvement under manager Matt Bloomfield, who initially struggled, failing to win any of his first eight league games after joining from Wycombe Wanderers in January.
Two of those wins came in their most recent matches, including key victories over relegation-threatened Derby County and promotion-chasing Bristol City during the Easter weekend.
If Luton avoid relegation, their home performances will be the main reason, as 31 of their 46 points have been earned at Kenilworth Road.
They aim for a ninth home win this weekend to escape the drop zone before their final game of the season.
Despite conceding 64 goals in 44 matches, Luton have bolstered their defense recently, allowing only four goals in their last six games.
After defeating one playoff contender last time out, Luton will look to disrupt another as Coventry City, currently in the final playoff spot, visits Kenilworth Road.
Coventry, under Frank Lampard, seek to recover from a 3-1 loss to Plymouth Argyle on Easter Monday, which kept Plymouth's survival hopes alive.
Coventry are chasing their seventh away win of the season, performing far better at home where they have collected 42 of their 66 points.
A victory here would position them strongly heading into the final weekend against seventh-placed Middlesbrough, who trail by three points.
Lampard's team ranks as the fourth-highest scorers in the division with 62 goals in 44 matches, hoping their attacking prowess secures a playoff spot.
Currently, Middlesbrough, Millwall, Blackburn Rovers, and West Bromwich Albion still have a chance to overtake Coventry, so they need maximum points to solidify their position.
The teams previously clashed in the 2023 Championship playoff final, where Luton earned promotion to the Premier League via penalties after a 1-1 draw at Wembley.
However, Luton faces the threat of consecutive relegations if they fail to win this match.
Coventry gained some revenge in their October meeting, staging a 3-2 comeback after trailing 2-0, thanks to goals from Ellis Simms, Victor Torp, and Haji Wright, overturning strikes from Luton's Carlton Morris and Elijah Adebayo.
Luton will be without Tom Lockyer and Alfie Doughty due to injuries, with additional concerns for Jacob Brown and Elijah Adebayo.
For Coventry, Victor Torp is out with an ankle injury, while Ephron Mason-Clark, Bobby Thomas, Oliver Dovin, and possibly Norman Bassette (quad) are also unavailable.
Luton Town possible starting lineup:
Kaminski; Makosso, McGuinness, Mengi, Bell; Jones, Fanne, Walsh, Aasgaard; Alli, Morris
Coventry City possible starting lineup:
Collins; van Ewijk, Latibeaudiere, Kitching, Dasilva; Sheaf, Grimes, Sakamoto, Rudoni, Wright; Simms
