Hansi Flick has nearly finalized his starting lineup for Tuesday's match against Inter Milan. The only uncertainty is in one position, following the confirmation that Alejandro Balde will be absent. The contenders for the left flank are Gerard Martín and Íñigo Martínez. Martín plays this position naturally, whereas Martínez would have to adapt.

Flick's recent substitutions in games against Real Madrid and Inter provide a clear hint about his decision. In both instances, he substituted Íñigo for Martín at halftime, indicating that the Basque center-back might start on the left.

Starting Íñigo on the left would enable Ronald Araújo, Barcelona's strongest aerial defender, to return to the starting lineup with Pau Cubarsí. This adjustment could be vital, given that Inter scored two of their three goals from set pieces at Montjuïc.

With Jules Koundé out, Eric García is set to start on the right, and Wojciech Szczesny will return as goalkeeper.

The team expects a better performance from the Polish goalkeeper after he conceded three goals from three shots on target in the first leg.

The remainder of the lineup will stay the same as in the first leg a week ago: Frenkie de Jong will hold the midfield, supported by Pedri and Dani Olmo. The attacking trio will again include Lamine Yamal, who is Inter's primary worry following his outstanding performance at Montjuïc, along with Ferran Torres and Raphinha.

Robert Lewandowski, having made a remarkable recovery from a hamstring injury in just two weeks, will be available as a substitute.
