Cristiano Ronaldo's son has been selected for the Portugal Under-15 national team ahead of an upcoming match against England.

Ronaldo shared the news of the international call-up on his Instagram account.

He added a fire emoji next to his son's name, which appeared first on the squad list.

The 40-year-old also wrote: "Proud of you, son."

Ronaldo Jr. currently plays in Al-Nassr's academy, having moved to Saudi Arabia with his father more than two years ago.

The 14-year-old has previously represented youth teams at Juventus and Manchester United during his career so far.

Now, he will experience international football for the first time.

Ronaldo Jr. will join the Portugal U15 squad to face Japan, Greece, and England later this month.

In 2022, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo mentioned that his son is eager to play alongside him one day.

He said: "My son tells me: Dad, hold on a few more years, I want to play with you!"
