Four Bundesliga teams are engaged in a fierce competition for the two remaining spots in next season's Champions League, as Bayern Munich has already secured the domestic title before the weekend's penultimate matchday.

The Bavarians will celebrate their final home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday, featuring the trophy presentation and traditional beer showers in front of their fans.

This match will be a poignant moment for 35-year-old Bayern icon Thomas Müller, who will depart at season's end after 25 years, as the club did not extend his contract.

A Bayern youth academy graduate, Müller has amassed over 500 Bundesliga appearances since his 2008 debut, collecting every major honor, including a record 13 league titles, two Champions League titles, and two Club World Cups.

With Bayer Leverkusen on 68 points already locked into second place, third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt (56 points), fourth-placed Freiburg (52), Borussia Dortmund (51), and RB Leipzig (50) are vying for the top-four spots in the final two matchdays.

The top four qualify for next season's prestigious Champions League, and Frankfurt can clinch their position with a win against St. Pauli on Sunday, maintaining their four-point lead over Freiburg heading into the last matchday.

Meanwhile, Freiburg faces relegation-threatened Holstein Kiel on Saturday, while Dortmund, last season's Champions League finalists, face a tougher challenge traveling to Leverkusen on Sunday.

The Ruhr club, with five wins in their last six league games, will play against hosts eager to finish strong, potentially in the final home game for coach Xabi Alonso and star midfielder Florian Wirtz.

Rumors of their possible exits have persisted, with Real Madrid linked to Alonso and Wirtz connected to Bayern.

RB Leipzig, visiting Werder Bremen on Saturday, holds the weakest position among the contenders, hampered by a three-game winless streak that has dropped them lower in the standings late in the season.

The Saxony team has secured only three league wins in their last 11 matches.

At the bottom, a intense relegation battle unfolds, with VfL Bochum on 22 points refusing to give up.

Holstein Kiel sits in 17th with 25 points, while Heidenheim, on 26 points, occupies the 16th spot in the relegation playoff position.

Bochum must win at home against Mainz 05 on Saturday to keep their survival hopes alive for the final matchday, while Heidenheim travels to 13th-placed Union Berlin.
