Alexander-Arnold made his penultimate appearance at Anfield but was given a hostile reception by the home supporters.
Departing right-back Alexander-Arnold faced a chorus of boos from the Anfield crowd after he was brought on during Sunday's 2-2 draw with Arsenal. The England defender replaced Conor Bradley in the 67th minute and fans gave him a mixed at best reception, while "there's only one Conor Bradley" chants also echoed through the stadium.
Alexander-Arnold finally confirmed he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season earlier this week, provoking a fierce discourse among the club's fans. While many can accept the 26-year-old's desire to try something new at Real Madrid, others feel the hometown icon has betrayed his local community and that view was clear to see and hear from some supporters during Sunday's game.
Alexander-Arnold didn't make much of an impact during what should be his penultimate fixture at Anfield as a Liverpool player and even played Mikel Merino onside as the Spaniard brought Arsenal back onto level terms.
Liverpool have just over a week to prepare for next Monday's trip to Brighton before Anfield says a final goodbye to Alexander-Arnold when the Reds face Crystal Palace on the last weekend of the season.
