Representatives of CONMEBOL, UEFA, the Argentine Football Association and the Spanish Football Association held their first face-to-face meeting to discuss the organization of this competition.

The meeting took place in the context of the 75th FIFA Congress in Asuncion, Paraguay, and brought together officials and representatives from the highest governing bodies of South American and European football. The goal was to start coordinating preparations for the European Cup. The meeting was attended by the president of the Argentine Football Association, Tapia, the president of the Spanish Football Association, Luzan, and the management teams of CONMEBOL and UEFA.

The meeting discussed key issues such as institutional goals, organizational responsibilities, logistical planning, the schedule of matches between the two sides and the tentative date of the match.
