42-year-old Reina confirmed his retirement this summer when he accepted Movistar, ending his 26-year career. This weekend, Como's final match against Inter Milan will be his last game.
Pepe Reina has played in La Liga, Bundesliga, Premier League, and Serie A. He has played for nearly 10 teams in his career, including Barcelona, Villarreal, Liverpool (eight seasons), Bayern, Naples, AC Milan, Villa, Lazio, and returned to Villarreal again. The last team he played for in his career was Como.
In terms of the national team, Reina has played 36 times for Spain and won the 2010 World Cup and the 2008 and 2012 European Cups with the team.
Liverpool is the club where Reina has played the longest. He won the Premier League Golden Glove Award three times and helped the Reds win 2 FA Cups, 1 League Cup, and 1 Super Cup.
