Pep Guardiola stated: "I told the club I don't want a large squad. I don't want to have five or six players benched and not playing. If that's the case, I will quit."
"If they don't make the squad smaller, I will not stay."
"It's impossible for my soul to bench players and prevent them from playing."
For the 2024-25 season, Manchester City has 28 players, currently ranked 7th in the Premier League, with an average age of 26.8 years.
