Bolivia's national football team is progressively building its squad as it prepares for two essential World Cup 2026 qualifying matches. The team conducted training sessions this Wednesday in La Paz, with new players arriving to strengthen the lineup for their upcoming games against Venezuela and Chile.

The squad is growing stronger with the recent addition of Miguel Terceros from Brazil's América-MG. The team is preparing for the away match against Venezuela on June 6 and the home game against Chile on June 10, both vital fixtures in the qualification campaign.

As the group gathers, training has not yet focused on tactics, as players are arriving gradually. Terceros was one of the latest to join the camp on Wednesday night in La Paz.

Moisés Villarroel, a midfielder for Blooming and returning to the national team under coach Óscar Villegas, shared his insights: "We haven't engaged in much group work or analyzed Venezuela as a team yet, since only a few players have arrived. We'll discuss strategies once the squad is fully assembled." Villarroel discussed the changing team dynamics and the integration of new members.

Joining Terceros are several overseas-based players who have already reported to camp, including Diego Arroyo (a club in Ukraine), Roberto Fernández (Akron Togliatti, Russia), Gabriel Sotomayor (Floriana FC, Malta), Carmelo Algarañaz (Kalamata FC, Greece), Lucas Macazaga (Leganés, Spain), and Óscar López (Mallorca, Spain).

"I'm excited to play, train, and contribute to the team," Villarroel said. "With younger players in the mix, those of us with more experience must step up as leaders, supporting the group both on and off the field." This underscores the combination of youth and veteran presence in the team.

The rest of the international players are set to arrive in the next few days. Meanwhile, players from Bolívar will join on Thursday, after their match against Cerro Porteño from Paraguay. These include Carlos Lampe, Yomar Rocha, Ervin Vaca, Robson Tome, and Jhon Velásquez.

Due to Ramiro Vaca's absence from a positive doping test, Villarroel could serve as a replacement. However, he noted, "I'm unsure about the coach's plans. We'll find out once most players are here. My playing style differs from Vaca's." This illustrates the ongoing adaptations as the team gears up for the challenging qualifiers.
