Steven Gerrard has secured a new position amid ongoing links to Rangers.

The Liverpool icon has been without a management role since departing from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq in January.

He has now been appointed to a new role at TNT Sports.

Gerrard will serve as a pundit for the Champions League final on Saturday, featuring Inter Milan versus Paris Saint-Germain.

He has previously worked as a pundit for the network on several occasions since retiring in 2016, including Liverpool's 5-2 loss to Real Madrid in 2023.

Gerrard has also provided commentary for England matches on Channel 4.

He will join former rival Rio Ferdinand, Karen Carney, and Owen Hargreaves for the Champions League final coverage, with Laura Woods and Reshmin Chowdhury as hosts.

At 44, Gerrard is reportedly a leading candidate to return as Rangers' manager.

He is among several contenders, including ex-Southampton manager Russell Martin and Davide Ancelotti, son of Carlo Ancelotti.

Gerrard is considered the top choice after guiding Rangers to an unbeaten Scottish Premiership title in 2021.
