According to Spanish radio station COPE, a fire broke out at Fiorentina's training ground, causing three youth players (two of whom were minors) and a 41-year-old man to be hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
The media said that as Fiorentina stated in a statement, the cause of the fire is currently unknown and is under investigation. The fire broke out at 2:15 in a room where the club's youth players lived, and then spread to the corridor of the building, damaging other doors and ceilings. When firefighters put out the fire, they declared the building unusable due to the damage. Of the three youth players who were examined for possible poisoning, two were 17 years old and the third was 19 years old. They were not in danger of life when they were sent to the hospital and have now been discharged.
