The ongoing verbal clash between Donald Trump and Elon Musk, often seen as the second most influential figure in the United States, has turned into a major media event.

This dispute—stemming from Musk's accusations of ingratitude and hidden truths—is slowly polarizing North America, with Latino audiences showing particularly keen interest.

Public figures from diverse sectors have capitalized on this moment to condemn the former president's actions, with some directly criticizing both men. While athletes like Christian Pulisic have quietly supported Trump, Latino-American players such as Alex Bedoya have openly opposed him, even as they compete in Major League Soccer for teams like the Philadelphia Union.

As a Colombian-American, Bedoya played under Jürgen Klinsmann during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. His notable recent appearances include the 2018 Gold Cup and the 2017 Concacaf qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Bedoya speaks out

Even though Bedoya has represented the United States in the stars and stripes since 2010, he could not remain silent on the conflict between these two figures, whom he views as symbols of discord.

Using irony to his advantage, Bedoya posted on X about the Musk-Trump drama, noting that it is no surprise to see them in a prolonged dispute.

'Two of the most narcissistic, sociopathic, and egotistical people... going through a breakup?' wrote the Philadelphia midfielder, accompanied by laughing emojis.

The former Nantes player drew a wave of responses—some praising his view, while others derided him, saying, 'This is why no one takes you seriously on the USMNT.'
