Captain of Urawa Reds, Marius Hoibraaten apologizes for not greeting the River Plate players before the game:
“To the River Plate fans: I forgot to do the handshake because the setup was new. I was confused and didn't understand that we should do it. That's why I walked without shaking hands.”
“It seemed like I didn't care about you (fans) or the players. That was never my intention. I apologized to the players in the locker room after the match and now I apologize to you. Best of luck in the upcoming games.”
