Bayern Munich are expected to advance to the last 16 of the Club World Cup on Saturday morning, but they will have to beat Boca Juniors at the Hard Rock Stadium in their second group match. Bayern are in first place after beating Oakland City 10-0 in their opening match on June 15, while Boca Juniors are second from the bottom and third from the bottom with one point after a 2-2 draw with Benfica.

Bayern had the privilege of playing in their first match of the revamped Club World Cup competition, but they faced little challenge against part-time side Oakland, who trailed 0-6 at half-time. The only attack the Bundesliga giants faced came in the 80th minute, but they managed 31 shots on target and had seven clear chances. Bayern's 10 goals mean they have now scored 26 goals in their last six games, while also keeping five clean sheets in the same period.

Head coach Vincent Kompany knows his side can advance to the next stage if they beat Boca Juniors, but only if Benfica draws with Auckland on Friday. Bayern's win last time out extended their unbeaten run to eight games, with the club having won five of their last six games.

Boca Juniors drew 2-2 with Portuguese giants Benfica on Monday, but they may be disappointed to have squandered a two-goal lead created in the 27th minute by Miguel Merentier and Rodrigo Andres Battaglia. That said, taking a point against a high-level team speaks to their quality in this tournament, and also proves that South American clubs can compete with their European counterparts.

Head coach Miguel Russo's side currently sit second in Group A of the first stage of Argentina's top flight, with 33 points from 16 games. Boca Juniors enter Saturday's game in mixed form. In the last four games, they have achieved two draws, one loss and one win. However, in the previous seven games, they have won six games, but Boca has scored 10 goals and conceded 7 goals in the past seven games.

Bayern Munich predicted starting lineup:

Neuer; Laimer, Tah, Upamecano, Guerrero; Kimmich, Pavlovic; Olise, Musiala, Coman; Kane

Boca Juniors predicted starting lineup:

Marchesin; Advincula, Rojo, Costa, Blanco; Belmonte, Batalha; Zenon, Velasco, Palacios; Zeballos
