Real Madrid are likely to be without Kylian Mbappe, as the French star was hospitalized on Thursday due to illness and, despite his release, his participation against Pachuca would be unexpected.
Antonio Rudiger has the strongest chance among injured players to make the squad, though uncertainties persist for Dani Carvajal, David Alaba, Eder Militao, and Eduardo Camavinga.
Ferland Mendy and Endrick are also unavailable, as they are staying in Spain to focus on their injury recoveries and aim to be ready for the start of the 2025-26 season.
New signings Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen are expected to feature in the starting lineup once again, while Gonzalo Garcia is likely to hold his central position in Mbappe's absence.
For Pachuca, head coach Lozano may opt for the same lineup as in their previous match against Salzburg.
Salomon Rondon, at 35 years old, remains in excellent form; the striker, who netted 17 goals for Pachuca in the 2024-25 season, is set to lead the line.
Meanwhile, former Chelsea forward Kenedy, currently on loan at the Mexican club from Real Valladolid, is expected to start again in the attacking third.
Real Madrid possible starting lineup:
Courtois; Alexander-Arnold, Asensio, Huijsen, F Garcia; Valverde, Tchouameni, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Garcia, Vinicius
Pachuca possible starting lineup:
Moreno; Rodriguez, Bauermann, Pereira, Gonzalez; Montiel, Pedraza, Palavecino; Dominguez, Rondon, Kenedy
