Bayern Munich convincingly defeated relegation-threatened Heidenheim 4-0 on April 19, holding a 3-0 lead at halftime and creating six big chances during the match.

Vincent Kompany's team has scored 15 goals in their last six matches, although they have conceded nine times, with the clean sheet against Heidenheim being their first in seven games.

With only four matchweeks left in the Bundesliga, Bayern will clinch the title if they win and Bayer Leverkusen loses to Augsburg on Saturday.

However, Kompany is cautious of Mainz's threat, as his team lost 2-1 to them on December 14, though Bayern won the previous three encounters 4-0, 8-1, and 3-1.

Bayern's recent form is mixed, with one win, two draws, and one loss in their last four matches across all competitions.

The Bavarians had won 16 of their first 19 home games at Allianz Arena, but they have only secured one victory in their last four home matches, including two defeats.

Mainz generated several chances against 12th-placed Wolfsburg, amassing nearly three expected goals (xG), but manager Bo Henriksen was disappointed as his team conceded early in the third minute and again in the final minute.

The visitors have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven games and have conceded 10 goals in their past five matches, including twice against 15th-placed Hoffenheim.

Mainz currently hold the Bundesliga's Conference League qualification spot, trailing fourth-placed RB Leipzig by just two points for the final Champions League spot, while leading seventh-placed Borussia Dortmund and eighth-placed Werder Bremen by two points each.

Mainz are winless in their last five games, with two losses, and have only scored six goals in that span.

Henriksen's side has lost their two most recent away games, although they won the three before that.

Possible starting lineup for Bayern Munich:

Urbig; Laimer, Dier, Stanisic, Guerreiro; Kimmich, Pavlovic; Olise, Muller, Sane; Kane

Possible starting lineup for Mainz 05:

Zentner; Da Costa, Bell, Kohr; Caci, Sano, Amiri, Mwene; Nebel, Lee; Burkardt
