Tottenham's recent midweek victory against Bodo/Glimt came at a significant cost, with goalscorers Maddison and Solanke sustaining injuries in the second half, and Lucas Bergvall appearing on crutches due to an ankle injury from training.

Manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Bergvall is expected to miss the rest of the season, while Maddison and Solanke are likely to be rested for the second leg on Thursday. However, concerns remain about Maddison's condition as he awaits scan results.

Captain Son Heung-min is out with a foot injury, joining ACL victim Radu Dragusin in the treatment room. After making extensive changes against Liverpool last weekend, Postecoglou may rotate the squad significantly once more.

West Ham will welcome back striker Evan Ferguson, who was ineligible for their previous match against his parent club Brighton.

No updates were provided on Edson Alvarez's back injury in Graham Potter's press conference, but the Mexican midfielder could return this weekend. Long-term absentees include Michail Antonio with a leg issue and Crysencio Summerville with a hamstring problem.

Potter may sense an opportunity against the injury-affected Tottenham and adjust tactics, potentially replacing a center-back with Niclas Fullkrug and switching to a 4-2-3-1 formation from last week's 3-5-2.

Possible starting lineup for West Ham United:

Areola; Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Emerson; Soucek, Alvarez; Bowen, Paqueta, Kudus; Fullkrug

Possible starting lineup for Tottenham Hotspur:

Vicario; Gray, Danso, Davies, Spence; Kulusevski, Sarr, Bissouma; Odobert, Richarlison, Tel
