If PSG wins the Champions League, the European revenue this season will exceed €200 million

According to L'Equipe, if Paris Saint-Germain wins the game against Inter Milan, it will not only receive a record bonus from UEFA, but also increase revenue through the agreement with French media broadcaster Canal +. Together with ticket revenue, the total European revenue will exceed €200 million.

The 2024-2025 season is a historic season for Paris Saint-Germain - even if the possibility of hitting the first Champions League title in Munich this Saturday is not counted, the revenue from the Champions League has been very considerable since the new competition system was launched this season. Especially for French clubs, if they perform well, they can also enjoy the huge investment of Canal +: the platform will pay €480 million a year until 2027 to obtain the exclusive broadcasting rights of the Champions League, Europa League and UEFA.

The record amount set by UEFA in the bonus distribution gave Paris an advantage at the beginning of the season. (UEFA distributes this income based on the size of each country's television broadcasting market and the popularity of the participating clubs.) In fact, PSG became the " Money-Making King" of European football with an initial bonus pool of €63.35 million even before the tournament started, ahead of European giants such as Manchester City, Bayern, Liverpool, Dortmund and Real Madrid.

Paris can reach an initial bonus of €63.35 million, including €18.62 million in basic participation bonuses, €33.66 million (combined with five-year sports rankings and TV broadcast rights), and €11.07 million in pure historical performance rewards. With the promotion to each stage, plus various subsidies from UEFA, Paris has earned €80.91 million before the knockout stage, and has since received €11 million in bonuses for the top 16 (Anfield reversed the promotion), €12.5 million in the quarterfinals, and €15 million in the semifinals.

If they win the championship, PSG will receive another €25 million in championship bonuses, bringing the total Champions League revenue to €144.5 million, plus €4 million in European Super Cup bonuses (against Europa League champions Tottenham). In addition, ticket revenue from eight closed-door matches at the Parc des Princes has exceeded €60 million, which is the peak of revenue this season.

Paris' total European competition revenue this season is expected to be about €200 million, and if they win the Club World Cup on July 13, they can earn another €100-150 million in a single tournament. In addition to the above income, Paris will also receive the Champions League championship bonus agreed in the sponsorship contract.
