The revolution has begun at Juventus with the arrival of Damien Comolli as the new general manager and the promotion of Giorgio Chiellini to Director of Football Strategy. A significant shake-up, which was followed a few days later by the departure of Cristiano Giuntoli: only the official announcement was missing, now it has arrived.
Having moved to Turin in the summer of 2023 after the extraordinary Scudetto won with Napoli, the now former technical director has never managed to convince at the helm of Juventus. Many hits were scored, but there were also many criticisms that rained down on him from the Bianconeri fans.
Juventus' statement
"Juventus Football Club S.p.A. (“Juventus” or the “Company”) announces that it has reached an agreement with Cristiano Giuntoli for the consensual termination of the sports director contract as of today.
The decision was made by the parties following a joint evaluation regarding future prospects and mutual needs.
It is also confirmed that Francesco Calvo has resigned, effective from June 16, 2025, as Managing Director Revenue & Institutional Relations to undertake a new professional project.
As of today, based on the information available to the Company, Cristiano Giuntoli and Francesco Calvo do not hold any Juventus shares".
